M.M.mmmmmmmmmmmm

What happens when our designers spend a Saturday afternoon watching Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, the movie where   Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell have a double wedding, wearing identical dresses and little veiled hats? Well…this! A modern take on a retro hat with a wee tulle veil and a voluptuous handmade chiffon rose with a pearly center. The hat itself is covered in pleated ivory satin, very much in keeping with current bridal gown fashion, but equally at home with a vintage look.     $100

Past, Present and Future

She’s a modern girl who loved to play dress-up with her glamorous grandma’s hats. A true fascinator in every sense of the word, this wee raw silk hat is a nod to the past as the bride looks to her future. The small bow gathers a wedge of ivory netting that has been hand-dotted with bits of chenille that are much finer than those on commercial dotted netting. Very old-school. Creamy feathers waft behind as the bride floats down the aisle.

Shown here in ivory with champagne trim. Also available in white.

Sugar Magnolia

There are times when simplest is sweetest…in life, in love, in fashion, and certainly in weddings.

Here, a single creamy magnolia blossom with just a few softening feathers is the ideal accompaniment to an unfussy bridal gown, a not-too-fancy hairstyle and rustic setting.

Somewhere in the Middle

She wants it all, and usually finds a way to get it.

In this case, the bride wanted the fresh look of a birdcage, but couldn’t quite let go of her childhoodfantasy of a flowing veil. Voila’! This extra-full double length birdcage bridges the gap perfectly and while performing a balancing act with a fuller dress or a tall bride. Shown here with a pair of ivory peonies featuring a smattering of lacy petals and pearly centers. Veil shown in ivory, also available in white.

Peony Fluff

Pin me up, wouldja? A fascinator like this packs plenty of punch on its own, but pairs well with a birdcage, wedge or mask veil. A corona of the flutteriest feathers surrounds this creamy pearl-centered peony, making it a natural for a breezy outdoor wedding or a bride with a rockabilly bent.

Pearly Girl

A wedge of ivory veiling and a trio of white feathers create a sophisticated, retro look for a bride. Pearls nestle in the organdy ribbon along the edge of the clear comb that holds it all in place. Definitely feminine and clearly bridal, there’s nothing fussy about this headpiece. Wouldn’t it look smashing with a short summer sheath or a long column gown?
