Blue flame

**NEW DESIGN**

We admit it, we’ve become obsessed with these handmade flowers. This one is a spectacular deep blue organdy that looks black from certain angles. Don’t rule it out for a bride: midnight is the new “something blue” and we’re getting requests for navy blue birdcage veils, too. (Yes, we do them!)

These flowers come with a clip for the hair and a brooch pin. They make great bridemaids’ gifts. How about letting your ‘maids decide for themselves which way to wear them–in their hair, on their shoulder, at the waist, or…? Email orders@overthetopfascinators.com for a special price when you order 3 or more.

Not just for weddings, these flower are fabulous with salsa and ballroom dance attire, prom dresses, and …?

Gypsy

Sometimes you just need to put on something floaty and dance barefoot in the moonlight. Pop this feather-enhanced lacy paper flower into your hair and release your inner Stevie Nicks. It comes on a clip–email us if you’d rather have a comb.

White flame

**NEW DESIGN**

Another take on the handmade flowers we can’t get enough of. This one’s got a bit of lace and a pearly center. We’ve been told it looks like whipped cream. Mmmm.  These blooms all come with a brooch pin as well as a hair clip, and a version of this one graces one of our favorite bridal hats. Check it out.

Barefoot Bride

dsc_0038You don’t have to get married on the beach to wear this birdcage veil, but it does seem like a match made in heaven, doesn’t it? The wide-gauge netting is stiff enough to hold up to a strong breeze,  a good choice for an outdoor wedding. The silk flowers are hand-sewn onto the veil, not a separate comb, allowing them to float  further forward on the face.  The birdcage itself is secured by two combs.

Off the beach, this veil is suddenly chic, especially with the hair in a severe bun.

Birdcage

Birdcage veils are the current look of choice for movie stars both on and off the screen. (Is Sweet Home Alabama stuck in your head now, too?) The options are endless. Here it’s worn with fascinator, but it can go solo, too. The fluffy white feathered hat shown above can perch atop the ‘cage. The veil can have chenille dots. Or be another color. This chic style works well with narrow silhouettes, including wedding suits, and is great for the short-haired woman or the older bride who might feel silly in a flowing veil but still wants the world to know she’s getting married.

Pearly Girl

A wedge of ivory veiling and a trio of white feathers create a sophisticated, retro look for a bride. Pearls nestle in the organdy ribbon along the edge of the clear comb that holds it all in place. Definitely feminine and clearly bridal, there’s nothing fussy about this headpiece. Wouldn’t it look smashing with a short summer sheath or a long column gown?
