Here’s a headpiece that tells the story of a love like a hurricane–wild, dangerous, but totally peaceful at its center. It features a satin-covered base with a storm of hand-placed crystals and and extravagant swirl of feathers to catch the breeze. It attaches with an alligator clip, so you can place it just where you want it.

Feathers up, it’s a little more daring. Feathers down, a bit more of a hat. Either way, it pairs beautifully with a birdcage (sold separately).

A comment on this site suggested that we make a patterned flower. Why not? This one is black chiffon with white and metallic gold dots, with a beaded center detail–light and sheer for summertime, with just a speck of glitz for evening. As always, it comes with a hair clip and a brooch pin. When you wear it, you’ll appreciate our trick of making these flowers with the bottom layer curved to hug your head…or shoulder, or wherever you might pin a thing of such beauty.

Time was, a young man would place a blue cornflower in his lapel to indicate that he was unmarried. Hence, the name bachelor’s button. Who’s to say a girl can’t send a subtle message of her own? Nowadays, the cornflower stands for hope in love.

The pale green headband gives this fascinator the feel of summertime, and sets off the royal blue flower and feathers. A little touch of crystal to takes things up a notch. She’s a modern girl who loved to play dress-up with her glamorous grandma’s hats. A true fascinator in every sense of the word, this wee raw silk hat is a nod to the past as the bride looks to her future. The small bow gathers a wedge of ivory netting that has been hand-dotted with bits of chenille that are much finer than those on commercial dotted netting. Very old-school. Creamy feathers waft behind as the bride floats down the aisle.
